USO of Indiana Celebrate 75 Years While Honoring Veteran Senator Richard Lugar

Indy Chamber News Archives

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The USO of Indiana is celebrating its 75th anniversary by hosting its third annual Five Star Gala and Silent Auction, presented by Delta Air Lines, on September 17, 2016 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. Senator Richard Lugar will be the special honoree and the internationally known “USO Show Troupe” will be on hand for entertainment throughout the evening. The Five Star Gala is an opportunity to recognize and honor members of the Armed Services in addition to our special honoree, navy veteran Senator Richard Lugar. Lugar volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1957, ultimately serving as an intelligence briefer for the Chief of Naval Operations. Additionally, Senator Lugar left the United States Senate as the longest-serving member of Congress in Indiana history.
