New Local Business Set on Breaking Down Language Barriers

MAY 20, 2016 (INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA) – International Language Connection is proud to announce its official opening in Indianapolis’s premiere language and cultural services provider.

“It’s not just a language barrier”, John Cannaday, founder of the International Language Connection, said recently. “We have seen a dramatic increase in new Indianapolis residents coming here to call Indianapolis home and we’ve been a bit behind reaching out to them.” 

Indianapolis businesses, from the largest corporations, healthcare, legal and medical companies, to restaurants, government offices, to local gyms; all have seen an explosion of people who want, not only to call Indianapolis their new home, but want to shop, bank, recreate, work-out, and dine. And for many, they willingly spend their time and money where they feel welcome; where they perceive there’s an effort on the business’s part to reach out and bring them in. “No business is too large or too small to look at this seriously and respond to this radical shift in business practice”, Cannaday added.

The International Language Connection has expertise in over 200 languages. It can provide interpretation, and translation services locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. Before Cannaday founded the organization in early 2016 he had been educated as a Social Worker and had worked for a number of non-profit organizations, from community building, to direct social service needs, to mental health services. “I wanted to start a business which had, at its core, a mission and a vision to be community focused”. Having volunteered teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) he recognized the tremendous need there was here in Indianapolis.
