Unconscious Bias Event with United Way April 21

Indy Chamber News Archives

Less than 15% of American men are over six feet tall, yet almost 60% of corporate CEOs are over six feet tall! We probably have never heard a board explicitly indicate they desire a tall guy to lead the company, so what creates this bent? A large part of the answer lies in unconscious bias.

Dr. Jamyce Curtis-Banks provides an introductory workshop to help us begin to understand how our life experiences have filtered the people and things in which we come in contact in ways that we may not even realize. Becoming aware of those filters is a key first step to leveraging diversity and inclusion to achieve excellence in your work and your world.

Doors open for a networking period at 11:30am (boxed lunches available). Workshop begins at 12pm.Parking is available on the street or in the One America parking garage (for a more economical option, consider the nearby Circle Centre Mall garage off Washington Street).
