Hachette Book Group is celebrating another expansion in the Lebanon Business Park.

After initially occupying a 500,000 square foot building, the book publisher and distributor has continued to grow and thrive in the Lebanon Business Park.

With its lease of Lebanon Business Park Building 4, the former Shopko building, Hachette now occupies a cumulative leased space of more than 1.8 million square feet.

"I am excited that Hachette Book Group is expanding in the City of Lebanon yet again," said Matt Gentry, Mayor of Lebanon.  "Hachette's growing presence in Lebanon speaks volumes of our business-friendly environment, and we look forward to the new opportunities this expansion will bring to our residents and community."

"We are always glad when a company like Hachette Book Group thrives here in Boone County," said Molly Whitehead, Executive Director of the Boone County Economic Development Corporation.  "Like many other employers in the Lebanon Business Park, Hachette remains quite involved in the community, and we look forward to this partnership growing."

Duke Realty has partnered with Hachette in the Lebanon Business Park since the beginning and through their multiple expansions.

Stephen Mubarek, SVP and Chief Financial Officer for Hachette. "They have been straightforward from the beginning, backing up what they say they'll do and answering every question honestly. Over the years, they've expanded our first building twice, leased us another building and provided short-term solutions when we needed additional space. Our lease of Lebanon Building 4 is a continuation of our long-standing and strong relationship."

Partnering with the Boone County Economic Development Corporation, Duke Realty has worked to cultivate a prime space for employers like Hachette. This includes a 13,000 linear foot rail spur, making the Lebanon Business Park the only fully functional rail industrial park in central Indiana.
