INDIANAPOLIS (October 27, 2015) – Participants and sponsors gathered this evening at The Speak Easy in Indianapolis for the winner’s announcement of #IndyCorpHack, the third installment of the Hack Indiana Series, powered by the Indy Chamber and Techpoint. #IndyCorpHack presented challenges submitted by Indianapolis Motor Speedway, AT&T, Interactive Intelligence and Socrata to coders and developers from across the Indy region in an effort to highlight tech innovation.

Among the winners from tonight’s announcement were the Fantasy Hackorz, led by John Schevola in collaboration with Ryan Kent, David Bidle and Daniel Dow. The Fantasy Hackorz tackled the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Virtual Race Pool Challenge, creating an application that gives race fans an immersive new way to track the performance of their favorite drivers while competing against their friends for bragging rights.

Other winners included:

Reborn Code – Interactive Intelligence Purecloud Collaborate Challenge
Veterans of the Hack Indiana Series Reborn Code Darye Henry, San Pathak, Ollie Ward and Casey Riney developed a Google Chrome extension to integrate with Interactive Intelligence’s project management platform.

Independent Development Solutions – AT&T “It Can Wait” Challenge
The solution to raise awareness of distracted driving created by John Ford, Seth Johnson and Michael Krause includes an application that tracks phone usage while driving and provides a notification upon arrival of the time spent on the phone while traveling. Users can see for themselves potential distractions that can be addressed.

The Iron Yard – Socrata Open Data in the Outdoors Challenge
Members of The Iron Yard including Silas Tolliver, Andrew Riley and Tad Sherlock developed an intuitive web application designed to help users discover outdoor opportunities in Indiana. The application displays recreational options, detailed data on those selections, and directions to reach your destination.

Coders and developers began to formulate their solutions during a day-long hackathon on October 10 at Launch Fishers. At the conclusion of this event, participants pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, and the finalists for each challenge were permitted to continue the development of their solution for a chance to be named the winning submission.
