McInerny Elected Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Agricultural Law Section

Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that partner Daniel McInerny has been elected chair of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) Agricultural Law Section for 2015-2016.

The ISBA Agricultural Law Section provides leadership in identifying and addressing current issues of importance to the agricultural community. The section monitors proposed and pending legislation to provide public officials and the general public a better understanding of matters related to agricultural law.

The ISBA is the largest legal organization in the state. With more than 12,000 members, ISBA serves and advocates on behalf of its members, their clients and the public as an independent voice of the legal profession. ISBA strives to secure a more effective administration of justice and encourages excellence in legal education for law students and practicing lawyers.

McInerny has held positions of leadership in the law community in Indiana, including vice chair of the Agricultural Law section for 2013-2014 as well as former chair positions for both the Indianapolis Bar Association and the IndianaState Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section.

As partner in the Environmental Law and Agribusiness Groups at Bose McKinney & Evans, McInerny concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental, natural resources and agricultural law. He also has an extensive background in Indiana administrative law.

McInerny is a frequent author, speaker and media resource, addressing numerous topics related to environmental law, including litigation, administrative law, governmental agencies, changing environmental laws and regulations, hazardous waste, water purity, farming regulations, confined feeding operations, septic systems and wetland development.

He has been a practicing attorney since 1984 and is a former deputy attorney general, representing the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana State Department of Health.
