Jeff Harrison has officially started his new role as chief executive officer at Indianapolis-based Citizens Energy Group. Harrison joined Citizens Energy in 2003. He replaces Carey Lykins who is retiring.
Before Harrison joined the company, he spent 13 years at Indianapolis Power & Light.
Harrison started his new role on Wednesday.
"In addition to his extensive experience in the utility industry, Jeff has always shown a great ability to inspire and motivate employees. Whether helping to lead Citizens' engineering team through the water and wastewater acquisition or developing new ideas to expand the Trust’s commitment to sustainability, Jeff's remarkable leadership qualities have been ever-present. We are excited and looking forward to the future," Vice Chair of Citizens Board of Directors Anne Nobles said.
"I am honored and humbled to begin this new role at Citizens. As President and CEO, I will work hard every day to ensure our team is fulfilling the Trust's mission to serve customers and the community with unparalleled excellence and integrity," Harrison said.
Harrison holds degrees from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Indiana University.
