Jackson Lewis presents ADA, FMLA, and Disability Leave Management: New Developments and Common Problems

This program will explore the interrelation between the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and disability leave. Topics include preventive strategies in curbing FMLA leave abuse, extension of leave as a reasonable accommodation, regular and predictable attendance as an essential job function, job reinstatement and reassignment, and light duty obligations. The program will also address pitfalls for employers when an employee files a worker’s compensation claim in the FMLA and ADA context.
