Tech on Target

Indy Chamber News Archives

This weekend, thousands of marketers from around the world will converge in Indianapolis for ExactTarget’s Connections conference and as we work to showcase Indy’s robust marketing technology sector, we thought we’d take a closer look at the impact of marketing technology on our region.

Marketing technology is a sector of the marketing industry that is focused on technology-driven products, services, or experiences that help facilitate the exchange of value between marketers and their customers. Heavyweights such as ExactTarget, Aprimo, Angie’s List, and Compendium and the more than 30 marketing tech companies headquartered in Indy have grown exponentially in the last five years. In fact, our partners at TechPoint have coined Indianapolis as the Marketing Technology Capital of the World. With this momentum, Indy is quickly making its mark in this sector.

Why is this sector so important to the Indy region?

The impact of marketing technology on businesses small and large is projected to drastically increase in the next few years.
