Driving the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Indy Chamber News Archives

Founded in 1998 by Taylor and headquartered in Indianapolis, netlogx specializes in Information Risk Management Services.  For clients across the US, netlogx is solving complex problems through the lens of information risk management via the disciplines of project management, Lean Six Sigma, security management and business process optimization services. netlogx consultants challenge the status quo to work with our clients to manage and promote change within an organization.

Their work and successes have not gone unnoticed. netlogx was named as a recipient of 2013 Indiana Companies to Watch and is delighted to be one of 2014’s Best Places to Work in Indiana.

An empowering workplace culture is essential to our success at netlogx. From the very beginning, we wanted to build a company where our employees would feel valued and appreciated and would make their co-workers feel the same, says Taylor. Every day, we strive to live and work by our operating principles of integrity, respect, communication, initiative, empowerment, recognition, accountability, and humor. To see these principles affirmed is immensely gratifying and provides a baseline to ensure we continue to maintain our culture as the organization grows. Taylor understands the importance of leadership, excellence and honesty. She credits her success to hard work, strong mentors, and the ability to leverage relationships – something she claims women often fall short on. Taylor truly believes that by leveraging the power of women in our community, women can benefit personally and professionally.

Relationships and networking through the Indy Chamber is something Taylor appreciates and takes full advantage of. From a Business Plan workshop back in 2009, to serving as a panelist in this month’s Women in Business Retreat, Taylor and netlogx are fully engaged in what Indy Chamber offers its members. Taylor also acknowledges the commitment from the Indy Chamber in supporting, assisting and facilitating netlogx’s growth. The Indy Chamber’s support in pushing companies to look at the global market and encourage expansion is helping to build upon the existing strong trade already taking place between Indiana and the UK.

As she reflects on the “stellar series” the Indy Chamber has created to support and focus on Indiana businesswomen, Taylor is grateful for the support and encouragement she has received as a female entrepreneur in Indiana. While she has been faced withmany challenges along the way, she learns from them and moves on. For Taylor, challenges are exciting, not negative – opportunities to solve complex problems and measure successes.  It is this message Taylor shared alongside her fellow panelists when she participates in the panel discussion Vulnerability in Leadership last week at the first Indy Chamber Women in Business Retreat.

Over twenty years ago, Audrey Taylor’s entrepreneurial spirit and desire to travel brought her from the UK to Indianapolis. Six years later, she founded netlogx - a Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) providing information services to clients across the country and, soon, around the world. Today, she is looking forward to exporting her Hoosier-honed IT and business skills back to where she was born as netlogx plans to open a netlogx company in the UK.
