Statement on Results of Central Indiana Transit Study Committee

Indy Chamber News Archives

"We are encouraged by the overwhelming public support transit has received in both the legislative session and the summer study committee and are eager to continue the conversation to bring improved transit to the Indianapolis region. It is imperative that we work with our elected officials to find an equitable revenue source to strategically enhance our transit system - one that is fair, sustainable, and meets the needs of our citizens. The legislative process is long and much debate will occur on the final substance of a bill. This committee report is encouraging and reinvigorates our efforts to move transit and our region forward."
