For all employers, it’s essential to get as many employees vaccinated as possible. Here are a few resources to help as your organization encourages vaccination among your teams:
The Indiana Department of Health launched It’s Our Shot Hoosiers campaign to encourage all eligible residents of Indiana to get vaccinated. It contains a wealth of information on vaccine safety, how to access, and promotion materials for communicating to your employee base.
The American Red Cross launched a toolkit designed to be paired with their live trainings for leaders on “having the talk” about vaccination with employees. It includes safety information and vaccine-related social media content translated into 9 languages. This video details the behavioral approach to engaging employees on the “Why” for getting vaccinated.
IU Health’s vaccine site includes a portal where individuals can schedule a vaccine appointment, get the latest on official recommendations (such as who is eligible for a booster shot), or review FAQ’s on safety and what to expect if you’re getting vaccinated.
The deBeaumont Foundation, a key leader in public health messaging research, publishes several resources for how to approach vaccination conversations with your workforce, include this Communications Cheat Sheet.
#VaccinateIndy is an ongoing public health campaign to encourage residents to get their COVID-19 vaccines and help reduce the number of cases in Marion County. In partnership with the City of Indianapolis, the Arts Council licensed and commissioned work from seven Indianapolis-based artists to convey the importance of getting vaccinated. Posters, stickers, and other materials will be available for free for businesses, organizations, and residents to use and display. A social media toolkit is also included.
