Vaccination Clinics

Many workers experience barriers to accessing the vaccine. Employers can partner with the Indiana Health Department or other local partners to reduce barriers and maximize vaccine access:

The Indiana Chamber and Franciscan Health Immunization Department have partnered to offer on-site vaccination clinics around the state.

Indiana Department of Health produced this one-pager to help employers schedule on-site clinics for their workforce and communities.

Indiana Immunization Coalition also administers on-site vaccination clinics at no cost.

On-site clinics can help address the following barriers:

Transportation to Vaccination Site: Many older adults, low-income individuals, and people of color do not have access to cars and may have limited access.

Immigration status: Concerns about immigration status and documentation, as well as rumors about being denied access, can act as a barrier to vaccination.

  • The CDC prohibits vaccination workers from turning people away for failure to produce specific identification documents or inquire about immigration status.
  • Vaccine sites and centers have been named “sensitive locations” by the Department of Homeland Security therefore DHS enforcement operations cannot take place where vaccinations are being distributed.

Vaccines.gov also provides links to vaccination sites.
