Stolen Joins Indy Chamber as VP of Corporate Advancement

INDIANAPOLIS (August 17, 2015) - The Indy Chamber today announced Steven Stolen will serve as the organization's first Vice President of Corporate Advancement. In this role, Stolen will lead the effort to build dynamic, sustainable corporate partnerships to better advance the mission of the Chamber to strengthen the regional economy.

"Steven has a reputation as a collaborative, creative leader and brings with him extensive experience in community engagement, management and outreach in both the corporate and not-for-profit realms," said Michael Huber, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber.

Stolen previously served as Managing Director for the Indiana Repertory Theater and most recently as Senior Director of External Relations for the Julian Center where he played an integral role in helping the agency merge and elevate its communications and fundraising capacity. At the IRT, Stolen led unprecedented success in both fundraising and single ticket sales as well as a significant multi-million capital project to improve the theatre's public and street front presence.

As VP of Corporate Advancement, Stolen will work to advance the mission of the Chamber through the engagement of our business community.

"Our business community rightfully demands strong leadership on issues facing our regional economy and this role will open the doors for more of our corporate leaders to join in making an impact on the future of our region," added Huber.

Stolen has served on a variety of boards and commissions including the Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission, the Rotary Club of Indianapolis Board and in project work for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana Historical Society and others. He was a member of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series, Class XXVII. His local and national reputation as a professional musician is well known. He has a background in education as faculty member, senior development officer and Chair of the Butler School of Music and Executive Director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir, and Regional Director of Rocketship Education.

Stolen will begin his official duties with the Indy Chamber on September 8.
