No Name, No Problem

Indy Chamber News Archives

Nameless Catering, formerly Nameless Pizza, was founded in 2014 between two friends, Jeremy Brown, the restaurateur, and Jayson Manship, the entrepreneur. When they found themselves at the door to a small kitchen in Fountain Square, they thought, “This could be fun, why not?” With nothing but their own money and an Indy Chamber membership, they ran a lean start up business model and Nameless Catering was born.

After the creation of their business, it was time to discover what would set them apart from their competition. Through intense research and countless recipe experimenting, Brown and Manship were ready to, ironically, make a name in the Circle City.

So where did the name “Nameless” come from, anyhow? After the partners brainstormed numerous mediocre names, they came to the conclusion that no name was better than a bad name. Brown was correct when he said, “When has there been another time that you’ve ordered food from a ‘Nameless Catering?” Very clever, guys.

Brown and Manship are not the only minds behind the madness. Indiana native, Chef Jonathan Lance, joined the Nameless team when he demonstrated his passion for catering with fresh ingredients. “He has been an integral part of every menu and routinely is challenged with new ideas and concepts thrown his way,” says Brown. It takes talent to replicate the same meal hundreds of times and work under extreme pressure day in and day out. We applaud you Chef Jonathan.

Not only does their name set them apart, but also their simple menu design and cost structure alongside a 24/7 catering hotline that you can call or text has elevated their catering game to a whole new level. So where can you taste Nameless? Try them for your next corporate luncheon, or other special event. Check out the Namelessblog for more catering ideas!

Not only is Nameless serving up delicious meals, they are also partnering with nonprofit and community organizations thanks to the connections they have made through their Indy Chamber membership.  “Networking events with the Indy Chamber have been a great asset to the business,” says Brown.  “We have made connections we may have never had the opportunity to make.”

The Nameless team recently connected with the Starfish Initiative by helping cater their recent kick-off party. Starfish Initiative is a college access and readiness program serving economically disadvantaged high school students in Marion County. This isn’t the only organization Nameless has sponsored, check out how else they’re helping the community here.

Despite their clever branding, Nameless Catering is most certainly making a name for themselves in the Circle City. Learn more about how the team at Nameless got their start and how they are using their Indy Chamber membership to grow their connections and their business.
