Taft is pleased to welcome John Westercamp as an attorney in its Indianapolis office.
A member of the firm’s Business practice group, Westercamp focuses his practice on transactional and business aspects of the law, representing a wide variety of clients including private equity, small and medium-sized companies, and nonprofit entities. He assists his clients to grow and expand by helping them navigate regulatory compliance and facilitating commercial transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
Westercamp is a graduate of Purdue University, with an undergraduate degree, with high distinction, in Management and a master’s degree in Finance, where he was named a Krannert Scholar. He attended Indiana University at the Maurer School of Law in Bloomington and graduated cum laude.
During law school, Westercamp worked in the general counsel’s office at Indiana University. He has also worked as a summer law clerk for Judge Melissa May of the Indiana Court of Appeals and Justice Steven David of the Indiana Supreme Court. Additionally, he was a summer law clerk for Judge Jon DeGuilio in the Northern District of Indiana. He and his wife live in Greenwood, Ind.
