INDIANAPOLIS – January 6, 2020) — The International Center has been awarded a $500,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to support The Center’s programming and general operations in 2020.
The Lilly Endowment grant is given in two phases: a single installment of $300,000 followed by a challenge grant of $200,000. The challenge grant is designed to inspire other donors to support The International Center and will match qualified contributions from businesses, non-profit organizations, foundations and individuals.
Founded in 1973, The International Center remains committed to its mission of serving as a catalyst to inform, convene and connect public, private and civic global objectives in Indiana.
According to Martin Baier, president and CEO of The International Center, “We are thankful for Lilly Endowment’s continued confidence in The Center and support of our efforts to encourage Indiana businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, civic organizations and all Hoosiers to think and act globally.”
