Taft is pleased to welcome associate attorneys Molly Connor, Matthew Metzger, Olivia Rangaswami, and Mitch Tanner to its Indianapolis office.

Connor joins Taft’s Public Affairs Strategies Group. She earned a juris doctor degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and a bachelor of science degree in public management and leadership from Indiana University (IU), O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. During law school, Connor served as the appointed student member of the Indiana University Board of Trustees where she chaired the student affairs committee and served on IU’s Presidential Search Committee.

Joining Taft’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice group, Metzger focuses on patent prosecution and litigation. With a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University and professional experience working as an engineer for the Department of Defense on nuclear submarines, Metzger brings a wealth of knowledge to Taft. He earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire with a specialization in Finance and earned a juris doctor, summa cum laude, from Indiana University with a graduate certificate in Appellate Advocacy. Metzger served as a judicial extern for Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush in 2019 and worked as a law clerk at Taft in the firm’s IP group from 2018-2021.

A former summer associate at Taft, Rangaswami is a member of the firm’s Environmental practice group. She received a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and was the recipient of the Leon Seidman Memorial Award. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Northwestern University. Rangaswami was a legal extern for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Kentucky.

Tanner joins Taft’s Litigation practice group. Before joining the firm, he was a law clerk for the Hon. Jane Magnus-Stinson, Chief Judge at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Tanner earned his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Law Review.
