Indianapolis, Ind. (Oct. 2, 2019) Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP welcomes Erica Knear, Rebekah Mackey, Kayla Moody-Grant and Ying Zhu as the most recent attorneys to join its growing Indianapolis office. The new associates span across Taft’s Business and Finance, Labor and Employment and Litigation practice groups.
Joining Taft’s Labor and Employment practice group, Knear advises employers on compliance issues, including job descriptions and applications, employment contracts, non-competition agreements and release and separation agreements and personnel issues. She earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was an executive board member of the Indiana Law Journal.
A former summer associate at Taft, Mackey is a member of the firm’s Business and Finance practice group. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Prior to law school, Mackey worked at the Indiana State Senate as a press secretary and legislative assistant and at the Indiana Supreme Court as a legal extern.
Focusing her practice on commercial litigation matters, Moody-Grant advises clients on matters relating to contracts, claims and business disputes. Before joining Taft as an associate, Moody-Grant was a summer associate with the firm. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she served as a judicial extern for Justice David of the Indiana Supreme Court and for the Honorable Tanya Walton Pratt of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana.
Zhu is an attorney in Taft’s Business and Finance practice group. She has experience in legal matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and international transactions. Zhu is qualified to practice law in China and the state of Indiana, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Cantonese. Zhu gained experience as a lawyer at a multinational law firm’s Beijing office before she came to the U.S. and obtained her J.D. degree at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
