Starfish Initiative announces another addition to their team.
Eric Howard, who built a long-standing resume for serving and advocating for homeless young adults in Indianapolis at Outreach, Inc., has been named the Vice President of Development for Starfish Initiative, the not-for-profit announced September 7, 2021.
Howard, who started the new position on August 2, will be in charge of building new relationships and capacity building for the organization, which serves academically promising teens facing unearned adversity in Marion County.
Most recently, Howard worked with Loring, Sternberg & Associates Of Counsel, and other organizations and not-for-profits.
Howard is an alumnus of the Stanely K Lacy Leadership Series, Tobias Leadership Center, The Tobias Fellows Program, and the Hoosier Leadership Series.

The Starfish Initiative, founded in 2003, pairs college-educated mentors, 1-on-1, with academically promising teens facing unearned adversity in Marion County. Howard joins the team along with new CEO Crystal Givens, hired in May of 2021 after the departure of the former CEO in December of 2020.
