Legendary Deep Dish Pizzeria on West 86th Street is Now Open

Northbrook, IL — (April 5, 2021) – Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook Illinois, is expanding in the Indianapolis area as the West 86th Street neighborhood becomes its second home. The company opened in Carmel in October 2020 and a Schererville location in July 2019. The famous deep dish pizzeria opened its doors last Monday, March 29 at 4pm at 2902 West 86th Street, Suite 110 in Indianapolis.

The 1,600 square foot space is a carryout and delivery only location, adjacent to Panera Bread and Starbucks, at the Willow Lake West development, near the corner of West 86th Street and Township Line Road. While the menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza, it also offers thin crust pizza along with appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. The new store does not include a dining room, but offers easy curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery, and drop off catering services for hungry fans in the Northwest Indianapolis area. The new location is now open daily, Monday – Thursday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

In addition, Malnati’s is hiring approximately 50 local employees for its newest location. The company is still hiring for kitchen crew, phone staff and delivery drivers. The interviews will be conducted via Zoom or in person to allow for social distancing and ensure the health and safety of guests and team members. Interested applicants are asked to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States and a resume, if applicable. Also, qualified candidates may apply online at www.loumalnatis.com/careers. It’s more than making great pizza!

Indianapolis patrons can expect the same original recipe, top-notch quality and hospitality that the pizzeria has been famous for since 1971. Today the business is headed by Lou Malnati’s son, Marc Malnati. Despite these difficult times, the company looks forward to opening a new store in Indianapolis. “We’re excited to bring our authentic deep dish pizza to West 86th Street and make it our second home in the Indianapolis area,” said owner, Marc Malnati. “We feel fortunate to expand during these unprecedented times and plan to open a few more locations, including a full dining establishment in Broad Ripple, coming late 2021. We’re committed to providing jobs at our restaurants and supporting the local community,” added Malnati.

Lou Malnati’s is passionate about pizza and excited to share it with the West 86th Street neighborhood. In addition, the health and safety of Lou Malnati’s team and customers remains their number one priority as they open their doors to serve you.
