LEADERSHIP JOHNSON COUNTY TO HOST VIRTUAL ALL ABOARD VOLUNTEER & BOARD FAIR
FRANKLIN, Ind. – Leadership Johnson County has moved the annual All Aboard Volunteer & Board Fair to a virtual format via the @VolunteerJohnsonCounty Facebook page. The in-person event had originally been scheduled for September 21st but will now feature nonprofit organizations during the month of September.
Beginning September 1st through the 30th, Leadership Johnson County will highlight a different nonprofit organization who services the Johnson County Community. Visitors to the @VolunteerJohnsonCounty Facebook page will find information on where volunteers are needed, how to connect with various nonprofit organizations, and the type of volunteer opportunities that exist in Johnson County for both adults and youth. Additionally, Dr. Carolyn Goerner, IU Kelley School of Business, and others will provide best practices in volunteering.
“Now more than ever, nonprofits need the community’s help to continue to provide the valuable services they offer. This virtual fair is a way for Johnson County residents to find the best way they can serve their community,” said Bea Northcott, LJC Select Workshops Coordinator, who is managing the 2020 All Aboard Fair.
The Facebook page, @VolunteerJohnsonCounty, was an LJC Signature Program community project and is now run by LJC. The site exists as a repository for nonprofit organizations to help promote volunteer opportunities within the community.
All Aboard Volunteer & Board Fair is underwritten by Vectren. For more information regarding the virtual event, please visit our website at www.leadershipjohnsoncounty.org or contact Bea Northcott at firstname.lastname@example.org.
