FRANKLIN, Ind. – Leadership Johnson County will host the annual Women in Leadership Workshop on Friday, February 14th at the Compass Park Community Center. This full-day workshop will focus on becoming more resilient in professional and personal endeavors. Participants will assess their own level of resilience and learn strategies for strengthening their “bounce back factor,” while being inspired by stories of personal resilience.
Guest speakers will include Dr. Carolyn Goerner and Tatiana Kolovou, IU Kelley School of Business; Tom Morris, Senior Director of Athletic Performance at Indiana University; and Alain Samples, Indiana Army National Guard.
The event will be held at the Compass Park Community Center, in Franklin. Tickets are $99.00 per person for graduates of Leadership Johnson County or Franklin College, Franklin and Indy Chamber members, and Aspire members. General admission is $119.00 per person. Leadership Johnson County at Franklin College began in 1995 to promote community involvement and creative community problem-solving among people who live and work in Johnson County, Indiana. A non-profit, non-political organization, LJC has graduated over 750 people from its nine-month, interactive curriculum, which emphasizes local history, government, agriculture, industry, education, economic development, infrastructure, social services, and leadership theory. Half-day and full-day professional development courses are offered throughout the year. In 2019 a Youth Leadership Academy began to foster community leadership for high school juniors and seniors in Johnson County.
