Kids’ Voice of Indiana has received a financial sustainability grant of $1,500,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc.
This grant will help Kids’ Voice create an endowment that is designed to stabilize the organization’s financial position and improve technology and internal systems. These improvements enable Kids’ Voice to more effectively attract future fundraising that can be used for program expansion throughout Indiana.
“The grant is designed to help Kids’ Voice build long-term financial strength and resiliency so that it can better weather unexpected and adverse funding changes,” said Ronni Kloth, Lilly Endowment’s vice president for community development. “The grant is not intended to fund ongoing operating support that is essential to meet the day-to-day needs of the children and youth they serve. In fact, we hope our grant helps Kids’ Voice attract additional support for this important work.”
“2020 marks the 35th year of Kids’ Voice being a champion for children and families in Indiana by serving over 3,000 families each year through our programs. While this grant helps ensure we continue to deliver the same level of service for another 35 years, we know that the need is far greater throughout Indiana. So, today we are also launching our 35th Anniversary Campaign, where every dollar raised will go towards expanding our child and family law services to underserved communities in Indiana.”
Lilly Endowment has supported our work for many years and this financial sustainability grant enables future funds to go directly toward expansion of our programs. To donate or learn more about our 35th Anniversary Campaign, visit www.kidsvoicein.org/35-years.
The grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to Kids’ Voice of Indiana represents one of 13 grants totaling $54.7 million awarded to youth-serving organizations based in central Indiana. For more information about Lilly Endowment visit www.lillyendowment.org.
