Indianapolis Attorney Amanda Morton Joins Quarles & Brady Business Law Group As Partner

In addition to extensive law firm experience, Amanda Morton previously worked as associate counsel for corporate and global partnerships in Purdue University’s Office of Legal Counsel.

“Amanda’s versatility and breadth of experience makes her a valuable addition to our team,” said Will Schultz, national chair of the firm’s Business Law Group. “Her ability to serve clients on so many different matters perfectly complements our group’s long-term growth objectives in Indianapolis and nationally.”

Morton’s experience includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate entity formation and structure, corporate transitions, international contracts and international compliance matters. In commercial finance, Morton has advised lenders on structuring and modifying real estate loans, commercial leases, mezzanine loans and construction loans. Her real estate experience also encompasses multi-family and mixed-use development projects and medical office transactions, as well as real estate purchase and sale, leasing and resolution of complex title issues.

At Purdue University she counseled the Purdue Research Foundation on the creation of the Back a Boiler Income Share Agreement Program, including advising the foundation in areas such as program design, servicing, consumer finance matters and capital finance.

“I’m excited to become a part of Quarles & Brady’s national team of experienced and dynamic attorneys,” said Morton. “The depth and breadth of this team assisting clients with complex and novel legal issues at a national level on finance, real estate and business matters will be a great asset to my clients and my professional development. I’ve known some of the Quarles & Brady attorneys for several years, and I’m excited now to have them as part of my professional working family as well.”

After earning a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in political science from Wake Forest University, Morton received her J.D., cum laude, from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
