The IDEAA Challenge is a prototyping competition for high school students. Students will work in teams to create an innovative solution to a problem in the fields of Innovation, Design, Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, and Automation. Throughout the competition, team members will have the opportunity to attend prototyping technology workshops to explore, prototype, and test their solutions. They will also have access to some prototyping equipment to aid in their projects. Teams will then present their solutions to a panel of industry and academic leaders. The winning teams will receive prizes up to $6,000 ($3k for 1st place, $2k for 2nd place, and $1k for 3rd place). The ideal team for the IDEAA Challenge is 2-4 high school students who can work, learn, and create together to come up with an innovative solution to a given problem. The projects will be scientific in nature, so the teams should have some interest in science.
