Downtown’s newest hotel announcement is a 7-story Tru™ by Hilton, with 148 guest rooms facing Lucas Oil Stadium. The Tru™ brand became an overnight hit with travelers seeking simplicity and value without compromising quality and design, boasting the fastest launch in Hospitality history, with over 30,000 rooms opening by 2021.
In addition to the hotel, there will be 3,000 sf of leasable space and 2 stories of dedicated parking for guests for a total of 104,000 square feet of new usable space.
Thanks to the cooperation of the neighborhood and the support of the City, the upper stories will bridge an alley, and both street fronts will include major pedestrian-focused improvements designed to present the best face of Hoosier Hospitality to travelers.
The team behind the Tru™ Downtown is as unique as the project itself: this will be the tallest building in Indianapolis to be designed, developed, and constructed with all-female leadership at the helm. Project Architect Crystal Kent, RA (Prince Alexander), Engineer Elizabeth Woolf (Owner of Katahdin Engineering), and General Contractor Karen Brabender (President of Midwest GC), along with property owner Melody Alexander (founder of Kittyhawk Development and instrumental in the development team) are excited to be working with and supporting each other in what has historically been such a male-dominated field.
