The 2019 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Indianapolis Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) candidate class was recently featured in the Indianapolis Business Journal. Fourteen candidates set a new record raising $1,212,607 over a 10-week period.

The MWOY campaign is a spirited fundraising competition in communities across the U.S. in which participants build fundraising teams to compete for the title Man or Woman of the Year. Candidates who participate agree to utilize their leadership abilities and interest in the community to impact LLS’s mission for a cure to end blood cancer.

Congratulations to the 2019 Woman of the Year, Sarah Reuter, who worked alongside TEAM ECHO (Ending Cancer Helping Others) raising over $93,000 during her campaign. Sarah attributes the campaign’s success to the unwavering support of her team, along with corporate sponsorships, in-kind donations from both local and global businesses, as well as the tremendous generosity and contributions made by family and friends.
