Connor Fine Painting was honored with the Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS) Zero Injury Award for the sixth time at the CCS’ 28th annual awards celebration on Thursday, September 30. As a way to recognize the safety achievements of construction and facilities maintenance professionals, the Zero Injury Award is given to CCS safety-certified organizations whose employees have not suffered a work-related injury for the entire calendar year.

“The entire Connor Fine Painting organization considers this to be the greatest recognition we can receive,” says Janmarie Connor, President and CEO. “Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and the financial investment in becoming a safety-certified organization is significant. The investment is worth its weight in gold if it can prevent even one small accident. As a company that cares deeply about the wellbeing and safety of our painting professionals, winning this award for the sixth time secures our position as the safety leader of commercial painting contractors in the central Indiana market.”

Year after year, CCS is dedicated to eliminating construction and facilities maintenance job site injuries and illnesses. Organizations like Connor Fine Painting look to CCS to provide guidelines and high quality standards to make the industry better and safer. CCS helped Connor develop a systematic and rigorous approach to safety with auditing and training at its cornerstone. Every Connor employee, management included, meets weekly for critical training and guidance.

One of Connor’s long-standing employees was also recognized with the CCS Outstanding Craftsman Award. This is the second [is this correct?] year in a row a Connor employee has been recognized with this award, further reinforcing the emphasis on quality and safety throughout the organization.

The CCS awards celebration was hosted at the Scottish Rite Cathedral on Thursday, September 30 with Mason Private Locating as the title sponsor. Connor Fine Painting was proud to be a celebration sponsor of the event alongside Corteva Agriscience and Safety Resources.
