Charitable Advisors Partners with Indy Chamber to Get Much-Needed Information to Area Nonprofits Affected by COVID-19

Indianapolis, IN – Charitable Advisors has joined forces with the Indy Chamber to expand the reach of its Rapid Response Hub to nonprofit organizations addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Indy Chamber launched its Rapid Response Hub in mid-March to serve as a central location for the most current COVID-19 information and as a service to answer the specific inquiries of small businesses and organizations in the Indianapolis region.
“The Indy Chamber team has created a site and a Q&A process that is both elegant and simple, and they have been extraordinarily generous in their willingness to partner for the benefit of our community,” said Bryan Orander, President of Charitable Advisors. “We quickly realized we would be better joining forces than creating a parallel system for nonprofits.”

With this partnership, the Indy Chamber’s Rapid Response Hub can serve more local organizations through its FAQs and question intake form, with the addition of information and resources addressing the nonprofit sector’s distinct operational differences. In response to the current pandemic, most communities have seen a spike in demand for services, and nonprofits have stepped up. But not unlike many small businesses, they are vulnerable in this environment.
“A considerable number of our membership comes from the nonprofit sector, and we recognize the unique circumstances they’re trying to navigate in these uncertain times,” notes Ross Raifsnider, Vice President of Membership Sales for the Indy Chamber. “We’re proud to partner with Charitable Advisors to help not only our nonprofit members, but all organizations to grow and serve our regional community.”
Besides working with Indy Chamber staff triaging requests for information concerning this crisis, Charitable Advisors has solicited assistance and aligned with consultants and businesses that specialize in nonprofit services, as well as faculty from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Both schools are recognized for their nonprofit expertise and academic prowess and are willing and able to respond to nonprofit queries.
With these added resources, the Indy Chamber Rapid Response Hub will:
• provide nonprofit-specific information to complement existing resources that apply to for-profit businesses. An easy on-line form is used to submit inquiries to experts for clarification, insights and solutions.
• serve as a central point of contact for nonprofit-related COVID-19 and questions surrounding federal, state, and local options for financial assistance.
• add nonprofit-specific referral partners to quickly address human resources, financial, legal, and communications questions.

Participating nonprofit resource experts include:
• Alerding CPA
• Aly Sterling
• BKD CPA
• Charitable Advisors/Not-for-profit News
• Charitable Allies
• Hedges
• Horizon Bank
• IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy
• IU Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs
