Doing right by customers and employees seems like common sense, but sometimes a commitment to ethical business practices gets you extra recognition. That’s why the Better Business Bureau® serving Central Indiana will once again host its prestigious recognition event, the Torch Awards: A Celebration of Excellence. (View highlights from last year’s event.)
The revitalized awards and networking event will take place from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, April 29 at the Crane Bay Event Center. Gerry Dick, host of EMMY-award-winning Inside INdiana Business, will serve as the event’s emcee.
Five award categories will recognize nine recipients as exemplary businesses, charities or individuals. “We’re thrilled to recognize exemplary members of our incredible community,” said Tim Mansicalo, BBB Central Indiana President and CEO. “We have many remarkable individuals and organizations in Central Indiana that should be celebrated for their outstanding practices, and that’s just what we’re going to do.”
Any for-profit or non-profit organizations and individuals within BBB Central Indiana’s 46-county service area are eligible. While BBB accreditation is not required, all entrants must have been in business for at least three years, met all of their financial obligations, and have at least a “B” rating with the BBB. Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of esteemed judges from business communities across Central Indiana.
To be considered, an initial nomination must be submitted by Friday, January 31. The process is free and easy. To make a nomination or learn more about the event, visit bit.ly/TorchAwardsBBB or call (317) 488-2222.
