#IndyEats: Pie Five

Indy Chamber News Archives

Indianapolis has joined the Circle of Crust and it was easy as pie. Indy Chamber member, Pie Five, opened its doors in Downtown Indianapolis this summer when it recognized the popularity and demand for a new storefront on the corner of Washington and Pennsylvania.

Pie Five isn’t stopping there! Two more Indiana locations are in the works. In the near future, you can expect to find a Pie Five in Village at Anson in Zionsville and in Meijer Shops in Mishawaka.

With the help of its Indy Chamber membership, Pie Five was able to partner with Damar Services during its official opening to raise funds for the organization supporting children and adults facing developmental and behavioral challenges. Pie Five would like to continue this partnership by providing employment to under privileged individuals.

A Brief History Lesson

Pie Five was first introduced in the Dallas area back in 2011 and has now grown to more than 30 locations in nine states. Pie Five has a bright future ahead of it with more than 400 announced franchised and company units under contract in 16 states and the District of Columbia.

Right from the get go, Pie Five earned the cool vote. The restaurant was named a 2013 Top 50 Restaurant Brand of the Year, a 2012 Hot concepts winner by Nation’s Restaurant News and one of “10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands” by Forbes.com.

Pie Five prides itself on “doing pizza right.” It chooses fresh, quality ingredients from the hand-cut veggies, all the way down to the crust. It also has accepted the challenge in getting their customers in and out in as little as five minutes. With the dough and marinara sauces made fresh daily and as short as two and half minutes to bake your pie, how can you not feel good about eating at Pie Five?!
