The City of Indianapolis is in the zone…Rezone that is. The City has made key changes to its zoning ordinance that went into effect April 1. These updates are all aimed at helping make the zoning process easier to navigate for citizens and businesses alike. City of Indianapolis Zoning Ordinances: The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission approved the amended version of the Consolidated Zoning & Subdivision Ordinance in October 2015. The new ordinance went into effect April 1, 2016.
