Indianapolis Training and Writing Firms Celebrate Partnership with Week of Writing Courses

Indy Chamber News Archives

Metonymy Media (Metonymy) and ETI Performance Improvement (ETI) announce a new partnership to serve Indianapolis area businesses with comprehensive training courses in writing and content marketing, with the initial five courses and four seminars all to be offered during the week of April 18-22, 2016. For over 27 years, ETI has been effectively educating and equipping professionals through technical training and professional development workshops. Trusted client relationships have spurred a continuing evolution of ETI’s service offerings, including individual coaching and consulting services as well as custom web application and database development.

"For us, everything comes back to educating, equipping, and empowering our clients,” said Justin Bond, Director of Creative Services at ETI. “We want to do everything we can to accomplish those three goals with every client, but that also means we have to seek out expert partners who share and embrace those same standards. We’re proud to have found just such a partner in Metonymy Media to serve a very specific and important need our clients have for writing and content instruction.”

Since 2011, Metonymy Media has focused on developing educated, published creative writers into business and marketing professionals. Much like ETI, their desire to fully serve their clients as experts has led to a constant evolution in offerings, from copywriting and editing services, to comprehensive content marketing consulting, and eventually to education.

“It’s really a natural progression of our company’s vision,” said Ryan Brock, Founder & CEO of Metonymy Media. “Trained writers publish, and they also teach. In a way, we’re privatizing both of those career paths for writers, and we’re also giving our clients access to services and educational opportunities that are really on the college level. That’s really exciting to me.”

Starting April 18, ETI and Metonymy will be offering a number of half-day courses with regular public offerings, as well as private, customizable engagements for groups:
• Grammar & Style Crash Course
• Email Writing Workshop
• Website Writing Workshop
• Blog Writing Workshop
• Social Media Writing Workshop

Additionally, a variety of shorter, hour-long seminars will also be on offer, including:
• Breaking the Content Filter: Nonsense, Creativity, and the Entirely Engaged Reader
• Blogging Like Shakespeare
• About Three Pounds: The Whole-Brain Approach to Content Marketing
• Blogging Against the Rules
