Growing market opportunities and customer demands compelled the artisan distillery to open
a mid-size event space in Indianapolis.
INDIANAPOLIS (Monday, July 1, 2019) – Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery, the first combat-disabled,
veteran-owned artisan distillery in the U.S. and Indianapolis’ first artisan distillery since
Prohibition, has officially launched it newest event space, The Foxhole.
Since it’s opening, the rustic and open-concept warehouse design of the Hotel Tango Tasting Room,
located in the historic neighborhood of Fletcher Place, has been a popular location for local events –
from weddings to corporate mixology courses to daytime company retreats. With growing
popularity came limitations in the regular operating hours of their Tasting Room, so the distillery
decided to utilize a space already in their arsenal.
“For years, we have been leasing the building next to our Tasting Room” said Travis Barnes, founder
and CEO of Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery. “While the warehouse has been a mixed use space in the
past, we wanted to capitalize on the chance to keep our regular Tasting Room hours intact, while
filling a void for the Indianapolis events community.”
Conveniently located next door to its Tasting Room, at 670 Virginia Avenue, The Foxhole blends the
popular aesthetic Indy residents have come to love about the Hotel Tango Tasting Room but with a
private u-shaped bar and a monstrous fireplace, made by founder Travis Barnes’ father who built
the fireplace in their Tasting Room.
“So many customers and out-of-towners love the casual nature and rustic design of our Tasting
Room,” said Hilary Barnes, founder and Chief Legal Counsel. “Travis and I originally designed the
space to make people feel at home at Hotel Tango, and that is what we have replicated in The
Foxhole. It feels very familiar, and we hope event goers will enjoy this space as much as our Tasting
Room. We know the cocktails will not disappoint either!”
The Foxhole partners with Hoaglin Catering for food and specialty beverage packages, including
Hotel Tango spirits and mixology class offerings.
In honor of the launch, The Foxhole is offering a “Christmas in July” event booking deal – 10% off
food and 10% off the space rental fee. Customers can visit the events page the Hotel Tango website
to learn more about The Foxhole and book an event: hoteltangowhiskey.com/events-at-hotel-tango.
