The free, quarterly event series designed to increase Indy’s supplier diversity pipelines
Ind. (August 22, 2022)— According to the Brookings Institute, there is an opportunity for Black-owned businesses to unlock some $700 billion in revenue if they were earning at the same level as their non-Black business owner counterparts. To help Black-owned businesses across the Indy region tap into their revenue potential, Business Equity for Indy’s (BEI) Procurement & Participation Taskforce hosts quarterly roundtables. The next Procurement Roundtable is slated to take place on August 25 at Corteva.
The roundtable, hosted in partnership with Mid-States Minority Supplier Diversity Council and the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce, will spotlight five, Indy-based, Black-owned businesses specializing in technology, transportation, health and well-being, fleet, and manufacturing services.
The Procurement Roundtable Meet and Greet is geared towards corporate and nonprofit partners looking to increase their supplier diversity by committing to eight national best practices. As companies across the Indy region are looking to advance equity, the Procurement Roundtable serves as an ongoing resource to meet companies where they are.
