Managing People to Optimize Recovery
As organizations modified their way of working (or ceased operations altogether) in response to the COVID-19 crisis, employer/employee relationships changed dramatically. As companies gear up for – or create – a “new normal” workplace following the pandemic, it’s important to create management strategies that effectively re-engage employees. This session, with Kelley School of Business professor Carolyn Goerner, will examine the decisions your organization should consider when rebuilding the “people side” of the business – from communicating policies to creating culture.

In partnership with the Kelley Executive Education at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, The Indy Chamber is launching the Rapid Recovery Series beginning May 26. These virtual courses will be led by Kelley School professors and are crafted to teach small business owners best practices and strategies on how to effectively reopen and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The series will present a new class each Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00–5:00 pm between May 26 and June 18, with 45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes left for Q&A from attendees. This 8-part series will cover topics ranging from setting a recovery strategy and rebuilding business financials to repairing supply chains and attracting new customers. Sessions are free and open to the public, and recordings of each session will be made available on the Rapid Response Hub at response.indychamber.com.
