Without a reliable talent pool of qualified workers, Indiana’s booming technology sector cannot fulfill its potential. Our state has added nearly 10,000 technology jobs between 2010 and 2015 statewide, and it is projected to add roughly 18,000 professional, scientific and technical services careers by 2027. We’ll create more than 8,000 manufacturing careers earning an average of $73,882 in coming decade. It begs the question: How can local employers better communicate what we really need from students and schools in order to build this needed talent pipeline?
