The Graphic Design & Digital Marketing Specialist will be a creative graphic designer and marketing professional responsible for integrating marketing tactics to convert prospects into members, partner companies into investors, and interested citizens into informed advocates. This position requires graphic and web design skills to develop a variety of digital, print, and other mediums while ensuring brand compliance, continuity, and consistency across the Indy Chamber organization. The individual hired into this role will be on the Marketing and Communications team.
Graphic Design
- Prepare graphic design work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials and planning concept; illustrate concept by designing rough layouts with sketches and mock-ups of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Coordinate, design, and manage graphical content for all platforms, including websites, print media, social media, electronic newsletters, product design, displays, and productions for organization and its clients.
- Develop the Indy Chamber’s visual brand identity and ensure compliance when members and the community at large use the organization’s visual assets.
- Produce videos, photography, animated graphics, and other electronic multimedia.
- Maintains an active awareness and knowledge of community issues to better relate to business interests and Indy Chamber initiatives.
- Actively participate in team brainstorming/concept development sessions.
- Take creative critiques from management and clients to adjust design based on these critiques; adhere to the organizations and clients’ branding guidelines.
- Adhere to project deadlines and provide status updates on a regular basis to management.
- Complete projects by coordinating with outside consultants, agencies, art services, printers, photographers, illustrators, other designers, staff, etc.
- Maintain technical knowledge in graphic design and emerging trends.
- Contribute to team effort by helping with other projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Digital Marketing
- Identifies target market, creates a brand image, and creates and maintains a marketing campaign for the internet and for digital technologies.
- Increases brand awareness and promotes Indy Chamber services to increase engagement.
- Puts together various online promotions and e-mailing campaigns to engage members and performs consumer research to discover other ways of reaching customers.
- Provide support for management of website’s SEO, Google Analytics report analysis, and Google AdWords strategy.
- Establish and manage business relationships with members and the community-at-large that will successfully generate leads and drive customer traffic to Indy Chamber’s lines of business.
- increase brand awareness, promote company products or services, and drive prospects to member conversions.
- Community and business outreach, including identification of potential business opportunities and partnerships.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related fields preferred.
- 3-5 years previous experience with comparable responsibilities preferred.
- Proficiency in marketing platforms, CRM systems, and content building for social media channels preferred.
- Proficiency in full Adobe Design suite.
- Love of the Indianapolis region and natural curiosity are non-negotiables.
