Slingshot
Slingshot, one of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce's newest events, with partners Eli Lilly & Co. and Conexus Indiana , is designed to provide an opportunity for emerging businesses to showcase their companies to local business leaders for the purpose of utilizing the experience, connections and buying power of the participating business leaders. The goal is to increase the value and accelerate the revenue growth of the emerging businesses from multiple industries that have been profiled.
HOW WILL SLINGSHOT ACCOMPLISH THE OBJECTIVE?
Slingshot meets quarterly with leaders from local businesses. At each quarterly meeting selected Indianapolis emerging companies present their business plans. After the meeting, each member of the audience agrees to meet with the presenter if contacted, and to develop a potential vendor relationship or provide advice as to other revenue-generating opportunities.

WHY IS SLINGSHOT NECESSARY?
It is imperative that we work as a region to help emerging businesses effectively utilize the limited capital they have. Giving them quicker inroads into potential customers can significantly increase their odds for long-term visibility.
WHO WILL DETERMINE WHICH BUSINESSES PRESENT TO SLINGSHOT?
A Screening Committee comprised of local business leaders with expertise in reviewing business plans, economic development, management/leadership and strategic planning will screen applications and determine which companies present at the Slingshot meeting.
