Indiana's unemployment rate decreased .1 percent again in October to 4.4 percent, and remains considerably lower than the national unemployment rate of 4.9 percent. Indiana's total labor force has reached over 3.3 million. 

Indianapolis and Marion County's unemployment rates also decreased, both by .3 percent from September 2016.

Many business owners may think that applying for a microloan through the Indy Chamber won’t do much to help their business. Besides, isn’t bigger always better? Maybe not!


INDIANAPOLIS, IN (NOVEMBER 22, 2016) - The Indy Chamber continues to build its entrepreneurial programs as part of the Accelerate Indy economic strategy, with support from corporate and philanthropic investors, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and other regional partners.  Today, the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust announced a $100,000 grant to the Chamber’s Business Ownership Initiative (BOI) for business coaching services.

Indianapolis-based Candy Dynamics, producer of Toxic candy, offers one-of-a-kind treats that have become a hit with candy lovers of all ages. In addition, Toxic Waste candy has become a YouTube phenomenon as daredevils take the “Toxic Challenge” to see how long they can eat one of the sour candies.
