IndyGo Youth Pass offers unlimited bus rides

May 9 2008: Moving around the city during summer months is no longer a hassle for local youth and their parents. IndyGo today unveiled its Summer Youth Pass, a three-month pass offering unlimited bus rides to key attractions around town. For only $27.50, youth will have unlimited access to IndyGo’s 29 fixed routes with convenient stops at the Indianapolis Zoo, White River State Park, Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indy Parks, recreational facilities and other locations. Applications now being accepted for unique summer camp experience; Brave Hearts’ Burn Camp offers summer fun combined with healing for young burn survivors

May 1 2008: Emmy award-winning actress Patricia Heaton will serve as grand marshal of the 2008 IPL 500 Festival Parade as was announced today by 500 Festival President and CEO Kirk Hendrix. The Parade is Saturday, May 24, and will be a celebration of the 2008 theme: Fuel the Dream. Heaton is best known for her role as Debra Barone on the award-winning series Everybody Loves Raymond. Baker & Daniels receives two honors in "Best Places to Work in Indiana"

Pacers' Dunleavy visits Lutherwood to motivate students for excellence

May 6 2008: Lutherwood residents were blessed with an appearance from Indiana Pacers starting forward and guard, Mike Dunleavy, recently. Mike spent Friday afternoon talking to students about the importance of going to school and getting an education to excel in life. Lutherwood is a residential treatment facility licensed to care for youth age 6-21 who exhibit chronic behavior and/or emotional problems due to abuse and/or neglect, internal neurological, biological or psychiatric disorders. Waiver permits Indy 500 shuttle service

May 1 2008: After pulling out of this year’s shuttle services, IndyGo announced today that a waiver now permits Park and Ride service to the Indianapolis 500. In February, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) unveiled new guidelines detailing how public transportation agencies can support local events. The guidelines are designed to limit public subsidized services from unfairly competing with private sector charter services. International School of Indiana moves forward with expansion of international baccalaureate program, welcomes new school leaders

May 6 2008: In line to become the first school in the Midwest to offer a comprehensive K-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) program, the International School of Indiana (ISI) today announced the appointment of two new leaders at the school. Indiana Youth Services Association hires new Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer

Mar 11 2008: The Indiana Youth Services Association (IYSA) announces the appointment of Leigh R. Evans, as its new Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer. In her capacity, Evans will focus on member services and fund development for this 34 member statewide association of Youth Service Bureaus. This will include overseeing training opportunities for the membership, sharing best practices in juvenile delinquency programming, and creating collaborative opportunities. Schneider becomes recertified as a MICCS safety partner

Feb 13 2008: The Schneider Corporation was recently notified by the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety (MICCS) that for the second year it has met the standards to be a Certified Partner. MICCS is an Indianapolis-area organization which promotes the adoption of safety-related industry standards that are more stringent than many other safety rules and regulations, such as OSHA. In 2007, Schneider's safety statistics were considerably better than the numbers that MICCS requires for their certified partners. [more]
